1. What precedes modifies what follows: Modifiers come before the word that they modify
The modifier (coloured orange) comes before the word it modifies. 很慢的 (very slowly) comes before 开车 (driving).
This will allow you to know what adjectives should be placed before the nouns they modify. Please note that adverbs should be placed before the verbs they modify.
2. In the Chinese language, words do not change. They have a fixed form that is the same no matter what they are used for or where they appear in the sentence.
As illustrated in the image on the right, verbs do not change in Chinese whereas they do in English.
